Lee County Council adopted a resolution at their regular monthly meeting on July 14, 2020 which strongly encourages the wearing of face coverings when entering retail businesses, food venues or public buildings. Wearing a mask is highly recommended by the CDC and other health experts as a preventative measure to stop the rapidly increasing spread of COVID 19. The wearing of masks, combined with social distancing and washing hands regularly are simple steps everyone can take to assist with protecting yourself as well as your family, friends and fellow residents from this deadly virus.
Anyone who has any of the symptoms of COVID 19, which include fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue and the loss of either the sense of smell or taste, or if you have been in close contact with someone with COVID 19, should self-isolate until you have been tested or you are symptom free for an extended period of time.
